Builders Hardware and Specialty Company, Inc.

Builders Hardware and Specialty Company was founded in 1958 by J.J. “PG” Andrews.

PG, a hero, was an Army Air Corps veteran and top turret gunner who came home from World War II and joined Jernighan Hardware, owned by his Uncle Harry Jernighan. PG excelled as a salesman for Jernighan Hardware, and upon his uncle’s retirement PG bought and formed Builders Hardware and Specialty Company. PG believed that customer service, value and relationships were paramount to a business’s success, and that belief continues to sustain Builders Hardware and Specialty Company today. PG was a family man, and eventually his son David Andrews joined the business. David continued the legacy, retiring in 2018, when Troy Palmer, a 26 year employee, purchased Builders Hardware and Specialty Company.

Troy Palmer continues to build on the foundation started by PG in 1958. Builders Hardware and Specialty Company today proudly carries on the tradition of excellent customer service, tremendous value and the importance of relationships. We, and our customers, know that thoughtful, thorough and excellent care are part of what sets us apart from the competition.
